Long-term use of opioids can put you at risk of becoming dependent, so make sure you review your medicines with your doctor regularly. Dependence on opioids can still occur even if you take your medicines exactly as prescribed by your doctor. These may include exercise and counselling services, or other medicines such as paracetamol etc.
