Wegovy (Semaglutide)

Buy Wegovy Online is a once-weekly injectable prescription medicine recently FDA-approved to help adults with obesity—or excess weight along with weight-related medical problems—lose weight. Wegovy is a brand name for semaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist.

Wegovy comes in five different dose strengths—0.25 milligrams, 0.5 milligrams, 1 milligram, 1.7 milligram and 2.4 milligrams. An individual who is prescribed Wegovy starts at the lowest dose and increases their dosage every four weeks. The full dose for weight loss is 2.4 milligrams of semaglutide.

“GLP-1 agonists like semaglutide help lower blood sugar levels by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas and decreasing the amount of glucose produced by the liver,” notes Chris Damman, M.D., clinical associate professor of Gastroenterology and Medicine at the University of Washington and the chief medical officer of supplement company Supergut. It also “controls appetite by regulating stomach emptying and our subjective experience of fullness via the brain. These effects combined can lead to weight loss,” he adds.

In a large clinical trial sponsored by Novo Nordisk, adults with excess weight or obesity took either Wegovy or a placebo for 68 weeks. Participants also consumed a low-calorie diet for the first eight weeks and received 30 visits of intensive behavioral therapy throughout the trial. Those who took Wegovy lost significantly more weight than those who took a placebo—at the end of the study, those taking Wegovy had lost an average of 16% of their body weight compared to 5.7% for those who took a placebo.
